Personal Approach:

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist. I am very grounded in Psycho-dynamic Theory, working from the premise that the experiences that we have had as children, how we learned to relate to others and the world around us, can continue to affect how we are as adults.

I will carefully listen to you communication about the issues you are facing in your life at the moment and together we can think about what might be behind them.
We cannot alter what has happened to us but we can look at them differently, and this change in perspective can allow us make changes in our lives.
Life events may have us 'taught' beliefs about ourselves that are not ultimately true. Integrative Therapy seeks to help you recall all the wholesome and healthy parts of yourself, along with the difficult experiences and integrate them into your true self.

I believe that the relationship that grows between us is vitally important to our work together. I am committed to providing a space that is emphatic, safe and containing , so that difficult issues can be explored with growing openness and trust. This Relationship will, hopefully, provide a space where we can discover together, what impact old ways of thinking actually has on your life.
